Why is Grey's Anatomy so awesome? Man. Like, I totally loved this week's theme. It was about the "befores and afters" of our lives, and it just really stuck with me. We all know that we change, but this week's episode just emphasized the idea. Who we were before an event is completely different from the person we are after. When I went to bed yesterday, all I could think about was how heavy my heart felt and how afraid I was of next semester. Faces kept reeling through my mind and moments from last semester and sophomore year kept surfacing when I tried to sleep. I definitely struggled when I tried to fall asleep.

I am so excited for research! I'm going to a meeting with the research group tomorrow and hopefully I can start my laboratory training soon. I am SO stoked, guys! I'm working for Dr. Golden and her projects center around developing coatings to protect against corrosion on the nanoscale and eventually, the macroscale level.

It didn't take very long for this semester to swoop in and carry me away. It's almost as if there's not enough time in the world to get things done sometimes. If I've learned anything last night, I've learned that I'm just as young and naive as I was in fourth grade, lol. No, nothing dirty happened. It was a realization. One that sucked eggs, though, lol.
