vacation agrees with you because you look wonderful in all of these pictures! i love your hair! the bangs especially. it reminds me of joanna newsom... http://www.indexmagazine.com/images/downloads_Joanna_web.jpg (i don't know if you have heard of her... she's an american musician, she plays harp and sings. she is amazing!!!) budapest looks like a great city. now i want to go there even more. :) (and with hungary not being in the EU yet the exchange rate is still pretty good... is that right?)
aw, this was a good post. a wonderful to start off my day since i am up so early. :)
oh thankyou!! i've only heard of joanna newsom through you mentioning her on your journal, i should check her out. my hair is cut a lot like hers! you should definately go if you get chance. it has actually just entered the EU. i didn't actually change any money though. however, it being in the EU has apparently made going through passport and customs easier though (at least for fellow EU-ers, though i'm sure it benefits worldwide!)
i'm glad i helped kick your day off well :D you sound mighty bright and lively!
well, the thing is that with the british pound being how it is, you get a good deal with the euro, however it is not the same with the US dollar and the euro. for americans, it's a lot more expensive to travel/live in a country where the euro is the primary currency. i believe that's what they do when a country enters the eu right? they switch their money over to the euro? the euro is gaining on the dollar, i think now it's like 86 cents we get for every US dollar. i could be wrong... but that's how i thought it worked. nonetheless, i will still go! :)
ooooh right, well, hungary hasn't changed to euro yet so you are safe!! it's still foreignt (i could have spelt that wrong!). If you are wanting to go there, then things like taxis and supermarket food are cheaper than Britain for sure (not sure about American though, but i'm guessing so), and it is certainly cheaper than London prices anyhow!
Sorry you hate flying so much! Think Sian mentioned it when she asked you to come to Prague with us! Budapest from your pictures reminds me a lot of Prague, hense it looks really pretty!
Your hair looks fab as always, not like Sian's Johnny Borell impression hahaha.
i wish i liked flying :( landing is okay, because looking out the window is pretty and it happens a lot better than i thought it would, but i do always think i'm going to die in some horror of a plane crash, gahh. thankyou about the hair ! it wasn't expensive: flight £60, train/tube to london return £22 and accomodation free since it is my uncle's house. turned out i payed for nothing as my dad was having an unusual spurt of generosity! xx
aww nicola it looks lurvely! i'm glad you had such a goood time, and well done for getting through all the plane stuff on your own i don't know if i could do it! oo you can tell me all about it when we go for drinks. if you read this soonish i'll give you a ring in a bit about going out cus i've got no credit left. xx
i really like that picture of you at the snooker table ...
anyway, wonderful post! i have an itch to go abroad for vacation now. i'm glad you had a wonderful time and it's great to see all these pictures you've taken (and i agree with melissa; vacation does agree with you!). on the whole, the exchange rate was not too bad, right?
thankyou viv! if i'm honest, i only took british money with me and my aunty was adamant she was paying for my stay (food, drink, travel around the city etc) so i didn't actually exchange any money. however, as far as i know, the exchange rate is better than if the hungarian currency was euros!
