My car failed the smog test. It SUPER failed it. Things are not happening quite the way I had planned.

My car SUPER failed too, but i took it to my moms mechanic and after changing a few sensors, it passed with FLYING colors. It did cost me a little over $300 but it was cheaper than having to buy a new car.

Let me know if you want their info. >=0)

No, thanks tho. The mechanic we went to is awesome and on the lower side of the competitive prices. It's always the fucking sensors!!! My last car, that's what it was and it was $10 for the chip and $350 for labor. WTF!!!

My piece-of-shit jeep got labeled a gross polluter when it got smogged, but a new oxygen sensor later it was just fine.

I clogged my gas tank with carbon by getting gas at several different stations with varying qualities. As a result I needed new spark plugs and some valves. I might go in today and have them re-test the car. Parts=$100 Labor=$400 OH BOY!!! It better pass or Imma hurt somebody!

Did you already pay this $400? Because if not, i could probably do it for free once you get the parts.

I think you and I know I didn't pay. I did put in what I had. I bet you know who DID pay and who I'll be paying back for years.

Do you have an engine lift?

Yes, the work is completed. They'll run another smog test for free.

NO, it's still a really good car. It's just old so it needs love. I sat in a garage for eons before I bought it so that can take it's toll on a car as well.

I'm transferring to another store b/c this one is in worse shape. I think I'll stick that out until I go crazy.....or until I come into a large sum or money.
