Whilst practicing my driving today (for I am going to pass my next exam, I am! I am!), for the first time in many a year or two I remembered to tune into Monday night Metal on 88.5fm (local community radio station fewels). Now for some reason I recall getting quite a few good bands from listening but tonight I've either gone crazy and 110% more ( Read more... )

Maybe it's because you've delved deeper into the obscurest depths of metal that what you thought was pretty cool on radio back then, isn't anymore. I felt the same way you did, upon listening to the radio again after a long, long time. What with bands like Rossomahaar and Horned Necrocannibals! Kvlt!

We could use a DJ like you over here. To inject a lethal dose of metal culture and save the kids.

Being a DJ would be cool. The power. The power!
Arcturus are great, but I still havent bought tickets for their gig here in October - I was put off by the fact my ex said he might be going - how stupid is that? Gahh!

Fuck him (not literally)! And go! If you see him dissapear within the crowd of metalheads, it'll be easy. I'm sure they'll be amazing live.

I know, even though Red Harvest are supporting =/ I just find him intensely irritating to even speak to, heaven knows what it would be like actually bumping into him.. goddammit!
I will book, I must book!

See, that's the thing. While Arcturus is a totally badass band, 90% of their lyrics are gibberish. @__@

I <3 them though. Been listeneing to Aspera Hiems Symfonia a lot recently.

And their gibberish is better than the stereotypical AAAGGHHHHH SATTTHANASSS!!!!11one.

Arcturus' lyrics are da bomb? Writing about Bin Laden? Shit yeah, as you said it's different, although who knows what the new lyrical stance may be now that Vortex has replaced Trickster G?
