Heidelberg

So, I think I'm going to Heidelberg tomorrow for the day. I'll get a Baden-Wuerttemburg ticket and go early, 8 am or so, and then come home late (8 pm). I'm excited and a bit nervous to travel by myself, but I can do it, no big deal! I'll let you know how it goes either tomorrow night or sunday.

Jsut be carefullllllllllll! I had a friend traveling alone who dissapered--literally. He has never been found. But he was hiking alone in the cloud forest in Ecuador--or thats what is thought. Just make sure someone knows where you are staying or when they should expect you back--thats important. Because haveing friends dissapear really isn't the greatest life expiernce!

Anyway have fun! Heidelberg--why does that sound familiar? Is it like from Heidi or Sound of music or maybe have a friend from there?

The man I'm renting from knows where I'm going and that I plan on being home tonight. Trust me, I would not want to disappear either, that sounds not very plesent.

I dont know why Heidelberg sounds familiar. Supposedly it is a place where all American toursits go, is what people keep telling me, so maybe that's why.

As for fun sized candy bars, they don't really celebrate Halloween here... Its a holiday that is still gaining influence from the US, but not to the extent of trick-or-treating, only parties and decorations. But, that's ok, because I can just go to the store and by Ritter Sport to feed any chocolate cravings :-)

Good good! YEs Haloween is still American. I tried to get my students in Ghana to trick-or-treat to my house but they wouldn't. (FUN SIZE=not the crapp american fun size--the HUGE german size--they know whats fun!)
