First I have to complain about mosquito's!!! I got two mosquito bites in the past 24 hours in very uncomfortable places, on my elbow (which hurts more than itches) and on the side of my left hand, the part which rests on the table if you were to write (with your left hand). SOOOO annoying! I thought mosquito season was over ( Read more... )

Mosquito bites on your elbow and on the side of your hand hurt like No other! Also on your feet maybe the skin is too thin there. If you find something with menthol that really helps to run on the spots.
Glad you had a fun trip. I too left the country today with Kristi--we went to Canada we went to Wal-mart and the McDonalds in wal-mart. Such international and savy travelers we are! I think I would have preffered your trip! But trips are fun! And glad you are safley home!

At Heidelberg University you don't have a complete college experience unless you had been thrown in the jail... and you thought it was bad trying to catch a virgin pinecone at Whitworth!!!

Your trip sounds fun... lots of tidbits of trivia and history, some good scenery, good food, and time to people watch... doesn't get much better. Glad to hear your expeditions are fun. Where next???

Next is Chemnitz. I'll probably go on Friday and come back a little over a week later on Sunday (and probably won't have internet at that time). Then, who knows? I don't make my plans until Thursday evenings, so we will just see. Wherever the wind blows me. And also wherever Karen wants to go. I still want to go to Freiberg, Ulm, and Hollenzollern castle for sure. My big spending/space debate right now is to buy a cookoo clock or not (a relatively cheap one.... 100 Euros or so). Hmmm. I need to decide before I get to Freiberg (the Cookoo Clock city).

I sy buy the cooku clock. Sometimes you have to spend a little--you may never have the chance again in your life. Just remind yourself your helping the ecnomey(that excuse works really well in third world countries but Germany could certainly do with some help with their ecnomey) you an always packit really well and ship it home!
