i got called out this week to my first fire. it was a mass of insanity. i never realized how much personnel staff is needed for fires to handling the planning, finance, time-cards, checkin, breakdown, operations, logistics, media, information, etc... and i became one of them. i worked 86 hours in the past four days. whabam, 46 hours of overtime! ohhh my god!
