back in florida, and now things get complicated. parents are less nice than they were when i left, and having had a taste of freedom, i want even less to spend time around here. and suddenly i have another opportunity to get away, a fella who wants to take me out and give me a "dream vacation" and sort of make me not hate florida before

but in your world mom also is a person who makes you feel good about yourself rather than like a failure and an embarrassment, and actually supports your decisions instead of telling you that you're crazy and stupid. so you can see how that might change my view of things...

So... my suggestion (even though you didn't entirely ask for it) is to dig a little deeper into the reasons you've listed. Rate them from the largest reason to the smallest, then give a general percentage (ie - if 90% of the conflict is that you feel uncomfortable with someone spending money on you and the other stuff all fits into the other 10%, then that's different than if each of these issues were fairly evenly weighty).

You have to make the decision yourself, so it might take a bit of work to figure out what option seems right for you.
