It was exactly one year ago today that my dad plowed his airplane into the side of a mountain. On Thursday, it'll be one year since I found out about his death. I had a much harder time with it this morning than I expected, but I imagine that's just because I've been suffering more than my share of general malaise anyway. Exciting new job with all kinds of possibilities, but my head is spinning with the disorganization of the place right now. I definitely feel needed! -

Update
The week in New York and the Writing Retreat were fabulous. I left the retreat almost wishing I were more of a genre writer so I could be more into the fact that I was hanging out with Nancy Kress, Jay Lake, John Pitts, James VanPelt, etc. I won a Nancy Kress book and picked up an anthology with one of Jim's stories in it.
