work dilemma, need advice

so we went out last night and ended up at the Brooklyn bowl, definitely something to check out if you're in the area (bar, restaurant, music venue, bowling alley!). Even in the best of economic times, that's an industry with a quick turn-around... but the economy is still pretty shitty right now. I'd say take the bird that's in the hand. If it isn't the stepping stone that you'd expected or hoped for, there isn't much of a stigma for leaving, even if you haven't been there for very long.

I'm actually not interested in the Bowery or mercury gigs because I don't want to bartend in this town - I'd end up having to be nocturnal and I don't want to come home at 4am with a was of cash. My other friend got exactly the job she wanted within a week, but she has a much better resume than I do. But she said this place has not awesome hours or money, and I'm not into an hour commute. But I guess a big part is I wanted to see where I could get myself in this market, and I may not get that chance.
