Getting your hopes up is never fun, but especially when it concerns the significant other in your life. At least he's communicating with you on this and not disappointingly skipping out on you the night of the show.

I spent my entire senior year trying to get someone to come see my shows but I got a blunt "Not interested" every time. So at least you're in a better position when it comes to talking with the guy.

Don't let it affect your performance, because you're much better than that.
