"So what's the point of living like this?" I so know what you mean. I have that same attitude. I hate it how useless and unordinary lifes people lead. I hate the idea that there's a certain path we have to follow, that we all have to have such boring, meaningless lifes. I want more from life. And I hate materialism and the fact that people are so damn greedy and only think about making money and buying stuff.
Such a good thing there's people like you who can see beyond the madness and know what's really important in this world. Go Kaisa! I wish I was more like you. I signed the petition, thanks for giving me the chance to do that!
I can see why you miss Thailand. Seems like heaven.
I know, it's just so annoying when you're expected to do so much and when you don't do what people tell you, you have to listen to how disappointed they are!
Paradise in Thailand.. but a police state in Finland? I always thought Finland was a liberal, laid back type of society. I have been on some demos over the summer in London - one, against the war in Lebanon, was 100,000 strong. There were plenty of police about, but they were helpful, which was not what I'd been expecting at all. The Met-(London police)-have a pretty poor reputation.
Did you see much of the Thai coup? I've been to Bangkok and I didn't like it! It spooked me out. I liked Cambodia the best out of all the countries in that part of SE Asia. (This was last year.)
It is so hard to get used to going out to work, and not having the buzz of travelling. I still haven't adapted.
I thought Finland was a liberal country, and it still is to some extent, but sometimes the wall of freedom breaks just a little bit and we can see the true colours of the capitalist, authoritarian society we all live in...
Well, I still think Finland is much more liberal than many other countries (Including Thailand :/ ), and it takes care of its people much better than many others, but I think too many people are a bit too confident about the "fact" that we live in a free coutnry....
How was Cambodia? I never got there, as I ran out of moneeeeee. I'm always treating the British police with suspicion! haha
Thanks of signing! I'll be back in Scotland for the Faslane demo before Xmas!
