Way to go wombat! congrats. :) As for phone? eh unless your going to use it to surf the net with...don't bother with a blackberry. I'm contemplating a samsung myself. One of the slidephones. I forget the model number. My cousin has had good luck with samsung and I had pretty good luck with the nokia 3000's. [3300,3660] The one I really miss though is my old motorola from ohhh..6-8 yrs ago or thereabouts. Again I don't remember the model number but it was shaped like a peanut, the battery lasted for freakin ever and it was practially bullet proof. I hate to tell you the number of times I dropped it on the concrete. Alas it was NOT waterproof. I was baking cookies one night and it vibrated itself off the coffee maker and into the dogs water dish.

As for a cell phone, I love T-Mobile. Talk to OMike if you decide to go with them, he'll get you a good deal. I have a Sidekick LX and I love it. The nice thing about a sidekick or a blackberry is that you can chat with your friends on IM, and it's nice to be able to look up a restaurant or where to buy gas if you are somewhere unfamiliar.
