Truly unbelievable...

I think he's being blackballed by the industry people. One of the biggest resellers in the US is owned by the Turcos. Take a guess what nationality!
:)

Calming my half-Italian, half-WASP ass down too...

Oh my god ventana September 17 2003, 12:37:23 UTC
I absolutely can't believe someone wrote that in all seriousness...shocked...speechless...don't-even-know-what-to-say...

I don't really know if offended is the right word for how I feel after reading this. I'm 100% italian, but I don't identify so strongly with being "italian" that I'm going to get all up-in-arms by some racial slurs and genetic accusations. Whatever. I identify with being part of the human race... So what pisses me off about this is that someone could show such ignorance and judgement for ANYONE of ANY nationality, color, or ethnic background.

It's one thing to be ignorant; it's another to pass judgement, make accusations or otherwise draw fucking rediculous conclusions based on your COMPLETE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE!!!!

*ahem*

Ok, I'm done. *fume*

And the person who wrote that is the CEO of the company.

It's absolutely amazing to me that in these days and ages that someone would even write that. So bloody fucking what if I have African blood in me? Hell, I think having African blood in me makes me a BETTER specimen (breeds out all those nasty diseases).

Fact is, we all come from different genetics, different colors, different locales etc... What makes him god in saying that Italians are a lower life form than his WASP self... Personally, if you're an asshole - doesn't matter what your genetics are - you are an ASS HOLE!!!

I have spoken...

the rather ironic part pitbullpotpie September 17 2003, 13:29:04 UTC
Is that he is the CEO and Founder of the company. There is no one higher up than the guy who wrote that bullshit.

What is this world coming to?

Uh, kids, that was taken line by line out of a movie called True Romance. It was a scene with Christopher Walken as a mob heavy and Dennis Hopper as the guy he was leaning on. That was the speech Hopper delivered to Walken. (also stars Patricia Arquette and Christian Slater, released 1993.)

Are your friend and the supplier friends? This could just be an elaborate joke.

I know it was from a movie (didn't know which one). The two brokers are not friends (even less so now) and the recipient of the email certainly didn't know it was from a movie...

Even still though - you don't say that to someone in real life unless A. you're friends and B. they know what the quote's from

This guy is just a piece of shite.

If I did this right, you can go here to a trivia page on quotes from this movie. If you go about 1/4 of the way down, there is dialog between Clifford Worley and a guy named Coccotti. It's almost word for word.
