I have a friend who's Rescue Coordinator for Fulton County Animal Control, so if you need someone who can find homes, she's it.

The first week on the job she tried to get me to take home a rooster and a baby goat, so it has it's ups and downs. :)

Question: since you provide transportation for a rescue group, do you not have names of possible people who might be able to provide assistance? Even if you can only give a "possible list of contact- nothing guaranteed that they can help" type of a thing, isn't that assistance? I bet that is what many people think of when they send you requests for help in these matters. I know that is what I think of when someone asks me to help. I think of anyone I know who might have contact to others who might be able to help. So I ask around hoping I might get possible routes for help for the poor animals. In that small way, I feel like I have tried to offer what limited assistance I can give.

I have one contact who is not taking in any rescues because she has cancer. I don't want to call her for rescues and put added stress on her.

Personally, I have no other contacts besides her. And she's really not in a position to help.

My problem is that I take it all to heart and I want to help them all. I can't. And that makes me feel incredibly guilty. It's just the way that I am :(

Ahhh. I understand. My sympathies to your friend with the health issues.

My friend's roommate is planning on getting a dog soon, and he seems to have his heart set on a pit bull.

Would you be willing to help them find the right dog? Or point them in the right direction if you don't have the time or resources to help right now?

My friend is worried about aggression issues. Pitt PR problems again. I assured him that they tend to be big ole slobberhounds of love, but hearing it from you and meeting a few of them will probably make him feel better.
