Some people are talking about boycotting Capcom over this, but I think I'll be fine with just not buying the inevitable "Megaman 11: You Like This Because It Looks Retro, Right? RIGHT?!"
Of course, after that, who knows if we'll see another Megaman game for years, if not ever.

Yeah the big problem is that boycotts are sort of a blunt force thing. Capcom probably wouldn't get the right message. They'd probably come to the conclusion that their games aren't Western enough or something stupid like that.
Same thing with people boycotting Nintendo over them not bringing the big Wii RPGs over: That's EXACTLY why they aren't coming! No one buys "Hardcore" Wii games and it would just further backup that statement! (Also the fact that without these games Nintendo basically has one game coming out this year)

There's also the fact that Internet game "boycotts" are never that. Too few people will actually follow through with them because, let's face it--gamers are addicts in a double-edged sword kind of way. They're passionate, but if they see something they like they can't give it up.
Man. And I thought the cancelling of Megaman Universe was bad. Ever since Inafune left Capcom, the Megaman franchise is slowly being neglected, and without MML3, there aren't any new Megaman games coming out.
In somewhat related news, Capcom announced today that Phoenix Wright would be in Ultimate MvC 3... though of course they haven't and probably won't localize the most recent game in the Ace Attorney franchise. So we can get the merest taste of AA and MML (via Tron) by playing UMvC3, which... bleh.
