here are my observations after 5 mins of TV footage.

petitions to end world poverty are a bit weird.
if i dont sign it, am i pro-world poverty?
if 3 million people have signed it worldwide,
WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE OTHER 4.997 BILLION?! or something.

i dunnnno

(oh, and i think mark's point was that a sizeable chunk of the folks worldwide who haven't signed it are the ones whose poverty we're trying to end...)

yeah that was it. i added my name too but i dunno what effect a big list of names will have to any decisions made at the g8..

my sitting room, in 15 years time:

"daddy, what did you do on the day they made poverty history?"
"nursed a hangover and grumbled about how shite the bands were"

'mummy why is half her dress missing?'
'er no she donated the rest of her dress to the poor children'
