Stop thinking that way! Keep believing like I know you do. You're NOT huge, but if you want to lose weight the healthy way then go for it!

You can do anything you set your mind to. Don't ever believe otherwise~

Your weight and Japan are not related in any way. All you need to go to Japan is money, so just save up money from your job.
Also, if you keep thinking these negative thoughts it will be a self-fulfilling prophesy. Just keep positive, save money, keep studying Japanese and you can enjoy some time in Japan and be happy.
Once you get to Japan, maybe you could apply for some volunteer work to help them rebuild. You seem very depressed, and the best way to cure depression is to see those in less-fortunate circumstances and see how lucky you really are. Another great way to cure sadness is to help others, so by doing both these things you will be killing two birds with one stone. ^^
Good luck.

See, you just kind-of made me realize even more that my weight is an issue to go to Japan. I'm far from 120....and I'm 5'2", and no matter what I do, I can't lose the weight, it's been that way my whole life. So, then if Japan is a society with mostly smaller women, why even try, if I'll never be small?

And the comment about the "caucasian geisha" bothered me even more.

*sigh* The rest was nice, but still..

It's not going to hinder you. If your personality is awesome, and it is, you will fit in just fine. I have found some plus size shops where I'm at where the clothing fits me so you would have no trouble if you lived in a decently sized city! Plus that and most Japanese men like women that have some dimension to them. They like the curvy bodies from what I can tell.

Sorry about saying "Caucasian geisha" I don't know what else to describe her by. She isn't western, she's from Australia I think. I was only describing her the way others have since I have no idea how else to. :( if I said "Australian" she could still be an Asian-Australian (until you see her). Sorry. =\

You can do it, Sarah. Please come to Japan. :(

"If that's the case I should just..give up. If I'll never be tiny...why even try? I can't succeed in losing weight, in cosplay, even in having friends or having a boyfriend ( ... )

New commenter here.
What the flying f, girl? You get negative comments all the time, who the heck cares what the sizing for some pants are? You CAN lose weight. You CAN become a nicer person to be around.(leading to friends and a boyfriend) You're easily the most stubborn, self-assured woman I have ever seen, why let this stop you?

Haven't you said many things that you love yourself and you think you're beautiful? It's hard to find a lady who still thinks that.
