I was in the same boat as you... but then after my horrible engagement ended in blood and tears I tried again. Most sites are utter shite, and I gave up. I joined this site called OKcupid that was mostly games and quizzes. It has a dating site feature, but I was basically ignoring it. One day I got a message from a guy who was looking for friends in the area because he had just gotten out of a terrible relationship. I was blunt and told him I wasn't interested and he just said ok. But occasionally he'd send me a joke, then it turned to emails and phone calls. We're getting married in just over a year. It's rare, but if you are willing to talk to a bunch of frogs you may find a princess. I know I know, cheesy. Just try, it won't hurt too much.
