The Dresden Dolls are going to be at Bonnaroo too I believe. (And in NYC later this month as well).
I know people on LJ who go 'No Poo', but with baking soda (by way of cleanser) and vinegar (conditioning rinse) rather than expensive salon products. I haven't dared go that route with my own hair, especially with the length it is.
I don't actually have curly hair, it's more frizzy and wavy, so I always seem to fall in the midst of any categories. The idea of the shampoo sounds good though. So that No-Poo is an all-in-one product? Ooh, they have a version for dyed/red hair... hrm.
And yes, detergents are bad... they cut grease, and curly hair is usually already somewhat dry, and doesn't need to get dryer (and frizzier).
Yeah, Bill's excited about the Dresden Dolls as well. The whole lineup is incredible, I can't wait. Radiohead alone is worth going for :)
Yes, everything you said about the curly hair is so true. They cut wavy/frizzy hair too, you'd really be amazed at what your hair looks like afterward. My hair is so much curlier now, it's not weighed down like it was before. If you want to treat yourself one of these days I highly recommend it. Their products are really nice, made of natural ingredients and they smell so good! Tara was saying that they are expensive, but honestly, for the amount you get they actually seem cheaper than the other salon products I've been buying. Definitely more than Suave, but not outrageous.
They do have a New York office, but most people don't spend much time there. Technically I'm home office, but I won't really be home much. I just got back from Baltimore actually, I got called out on a CritSit Tuesday night at like 8:00.

I'll definitely check out that hair product too... once I finish all the stuff I have in the cupboard first.
So where are you working these days? from home or do they have an office in NYC?
