I got a surprise in the mail the yesterday!  A signed copy of A Distant Soil #36.  I somehow won it, but I have no idea how.  I just got a notification from twitter one day telling me that I'd won.  This was back in October

I love the mail, and that jolt of pleased surprise when there's a new book or something else good waiting for me. My brother gave me an amazon card for Christmas, like he always does (even though he can't afford it, and so I scolded him!)-I've received 4 of the 5 books I ordered. I've read 2 and am devouring the third. :D

Unexpected good stuff is even better! \0/
