I really enjoyed this and I am shocked to find this is your first time writing for the series! I love the insight into N's thoughts during their battle, watching him go from his usual cynical view of trainer-pokemon relationships to questioning that his view might not always be right. I always felt there was an undertone of this in the games with N and the playable character, so I'm so excited to see it explored in narrative.
(also, how did you know Snivy is my fave of the starters? XD)
