I got 5 hours sleep today; work shall be interesting. However, I managed to get to the insurance agent and get signed up with a company (who I'm perhaps going to move my house insurance to as well, so that will be convenient). It's a little expensive when you have no prior driving record, but at least it should only go down from here. Mum drove

Thank you, I'm thrilled with it myself. And we do need to have a meet-up, it's been ages! Theoretically I'm going to get on straight shifts sometime this decade, I mean year. Then maybe I'll have more time to actually plan things.

It's a bit strange to be the only person in a car. I'm so used to having someone who knows where we're going in the car with me.

I drove to work last night just to see if I could. Apparently I have a sensor in the car that beeps at you until you remember to turn your headlights off, which was good to learn. No dead batteries for me. And so far I've managed to park in my carport *twice* without taking off the sidemirrors or making it impossible to get out of the door :D
