When God invented knees, why couldn't he come up with a design which was easier to shave?

From all the pictures I'm not convinced that God gave much thought to the concept of shaving. If he had, surely he'd have arranged things so that you didn't need to...

God created mankind the way He wanted them.

So shaving is irreligious. ;-)

I think when it comes to the wearing of swimming cossies, shorts, skirts and the like, I would rather be irreligious than hairy!

Have you ever seen a picture of Him wearing a swimming costume or shorts, let alone a short skirt? I think that explains it. His hairy knees are always well covered...

(I can honestly say that I have never even thought of shaving my knees, until this thread...)

Used to shave my legs when I was competing at mountain biking, made it so much easier to take the plasters off the assorted cuts and grazes.

Obviously he intended you (us?) to spend all your time on your knees praying to him, and therefore wearing the hair off.

Eeeeuw. On the other hand, there's all that traipsing up mountains on your knees. Henry 1st after the Thomas a Beckett issue, and all that.

I sometimes think Creationists would be more convincing if they proposed the concept of Stupid Design...

Darwin said "I cannot persuade myself that a beneficent and omnipotent God would have designedly created the Ichneumonidae [parasitic wasps] with the express intention of their feeding within the living bodies of Caterpillars".

Creationism is the belief that all life was created essentially as we know it by the Christian God, who is wise and good and loving and so on.
Intelligent Design is the belief that all life was created essentially as we know it by some carefully unspecified immensely powerful being.
Unintelligent Design is the belief that all life was created essentially as we know it by some carefully unspecified immensely powerful being who, frankly, wasn't that good at it. Which might be more plausible, but does rather rule out "and it might have been God who is omniscient and omnipotent".
