Looking at the paper, I see an announcement that Sir David Willcocks has died, aged 95. Which didn't ring any particular bells until I read the byline which noted he had been one of the editors of Carols for Choirs. Ah. *And* that he wrote the descants to carols such as O Come All Ye Faithful and Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

Today at work, my work being what it is, someone made reference to a bomb factory in the town of Homs in Syria.

And for several minutes my brain was full of:

"We are from Homs,
We make bombs.
All the best bombs are made in Homs.
Homs bombs are best bombs!
The best bombs are Homs bombs!
We are from Homs and we make bombs!"

This was actually one of the very first X-Men comics I ever read (which I can tell you is a really confusing way to enter the Marvel universe!!).
