Scary!
Yesterday I was a bit bored and ended up doing a survey over on Ship of Fools. One of the questions had me a bit boggled. It asked "How many books do you read in a year?" and the choices were something like 0, 1-5, 5-10, 10+. I did go back and read the question again, and it still said "year" and not "month" or "week". Dragon's thoughtful place.
They say that being hanged in the morning concentrates the mind wonderfully. I imagine that what it mainly concentrates it on though is the fact that you are being hanged in the morning. Open Season
Saw "Open Season" yesterday. This is a good time of year for kids films! I thought I probably liked it better than "Hoodwinked", but on consideration it might just be that the animation was better. In the news today was an article about a postman who got suspended for telling his customers how to opt out of receiving junk mail. The Jeremy Vines show on Radio 2 (which usually I hate) decided that it would be in the public good not only to discuss whether Royal Mail were right to suspend him, but to tell you how to opt out of unaddressed junk ( Read more... ) -
Dungeon Meme
Mu dungeon is okay, but there are an awful lot of things with high hit points, and jumping through the trapdoor deposits you at a random location back on the same level.

I've just had a phonecall from Paul asking me to post a moving update for him. He says that it looks like things are going better than expected - thegenerosity of local friends has enabled him to hire the van for an extra day, and he ahs managed to extend the return of his keys to first thing tomorrow morning.
