OK...I think it's time to start getting out of the house more now. Judge Judy is actually starting to sound reasonable at times. Really, is it necessary for that woman to be so god-damn snide and like she's the savior of the universe on freakin every show ( Read more... )

I'm so glad things are getting better for you! Wow, that is just awful that even music can bring on headache and disorientation. Take it easy, though. Don't fret about the costs right now. Perhaps there will be a way to get help for the expenses or something once you know the final numbers...

The figures on the insurance website are still in a state of flux, so I'm just not even going there until they compute the (possibly) final figures. In one case I was initially discharged from my inital hospital stay due to the requirements of the insurance company, only to be re-admitted a little over 48 hours later when I started spiking a 103.5 degree fever again.

The charges on that move alone amounted to $850 payable by me. You can bet your ass I'm going to file a inquiry into that seeing as it was an insurance specified move out of the original facillity.

Both of you are so wise in your advise. Until the final figures are available, it's really quite useless to get upset over the numbers. For all I know the actual charges might be less. For now I'm just going to stick my fingers in my ears and hum very loud until they present the final bill.

Sometimes too much information is really not a good thing!

Glad you're doing so much better! It must be a relief to start see improvements like getting out of the house, & being able to listen to *some* music.

Don't stress. You don't need stress. Things can be worked out. Do you not have health insurance?

Take it easy & take care...

I've insurance, but I was admitted 3 separate times. Therefore there are multiple transports, admittance fees, specialists and tes. The deductables balances alone are really adding up.

I'll just have to wait and see what the final tally is, there's no sense getting upset until I've got the final figures.

Sounds like a good idea. Almost makes you want to have socialized medicine, though, don't it?

You know, I've often thought about the possibilities of socialized medicine.

For example, my mother is a retired Federal worker and therefore has access to what is considered “optimal” retirement benefits, and I see her scrambling every week. Please note that I in no way claim to be an expert, but the primary argument I hear is that health care quality would be in danger of being divided between the "haves" and "have nots". My coverage is supposedly fairly good and I had elected a primary plan that charged extra for supposed benefits, and I’m sweating this out.

It does make you wonder……..

Oh me too! My hearing still isn't back to normal, but it's progress. This week I'm also getting a referral for a hearing test, so I'll have an idea where it stands.

I'm so glad your doing a bit better but you don't sound ready to go back to work yet. I know it's still a couple of weeks away and a lot can happen in that time but still, take it easy girl.

I'm still taking it pretty easy, but am trying to work my way back to somewhat "normal" activity. It really is amazing how we rebound, but it can still be frustratingly slow at times...
