So what’s up with me?

I do have a chapter of PoM to update, and I’ll try to get it done sometime this weekend.  I haven’t done much writing lately, because I’ve been busy.  This time, work is not the culprit.  As I’ve mentioned before, I’m working on losing weight.  I was at 225 lbs when I started mid January, and I’m now down to 195.  I’ve lost 30 ( Read more... )

Congrats on the weight loss, hon. I'm down to 220, down from 270 a year ago. I've been sitting at the 220 range since late November, but now have the time (and I'm not constantly sick anymore) to hit the gym once again. My goal is 180, a healthy weight for a 6' woman. I find a lingerie shipping trip once you reach the next plateau is a good incentive if a bit of incentive is hard to find, beside the promise of better health and more energy and clothes that fit better. Keep up the good work.

Betz, you're my hero! Here I need to lose 50 lbs, and you've lost that much already. I think 180 is a very sensible goal. This website I go to says I should be 140, and I might try for it, but to be honest, 160 would be pretty sweet.

Yeah, the BMI index says I should be 160, but I think 180 would still be reasonable. If you have Showtime, watch the show recenly aired about obesity. It certain sheds light on where that BMI index came from and just about how realistic i is. Takes no account for anyone carrying a bit of muscle.

Laid off is a good thing if you desperately need a little break, and I do! I should be able to write more soon.
