Sorry, but I couldn't reply to your thequestionclub question there, but I do have some input. I play cello and I think it's very important you get lessons because it's almost impossible to teach yourself the correct technique and you really need someone there guiding you. It's up to you about how much you want to spend on a cello, but since you're starting out a cheaper one would do okay, and then if you enjoy it perhaps upgrade. I've been playing for seven years and I recently got a new cello. I'm absolutely in love with it.
Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. :] I appreciate your input, I think the cheaper route is the way to go anyways dut to the lack of cash. How long have you been playing cello? I've always liked stringed instruments but the cello is just so moving. The instrument itself..isn't um...overpowering I guess? I'm only about 5'3", that's what I meant by it being overpowering.
