victoria's secret bag

Jul 05, 2005 10:30

i've noticed 4 women in my building carry victoria's secret bags to hold their lunches.
i wonder why they think that is ok? i think that is tacky and gives me the impression that these women smell bad.

What are they trying to say?
Are they stating, "hey, i wear sexy under garments" or "im having a thong for lunch"
weirdos.

I think it says, "I have money."

I work at an all-natural foods store and there are so many people who just walk around with Macy's bags as their purses.

It would bother me more if the symbol for Macy's wasn't a Communist symbol.

It mostly makes me smile. Those little commies.

yeah essentially.

my mother remembers the time when those tacky luis vuitton bags would be a huge fasion faux paus.

back in the 70s, bags with the designer's logo all over it were free cheap gifts...now this guy makes 5g off of one ugly purse.

yeah, how come rich people don't notice that they are lugging around the ugliest purses around? Is it a joke on all the richies? I hope so, cause I'm laughing

Hahahahaha. It's funny because I brought my lunch in a Gap bag today. Although I could definitely see some women doing that to advertise their money or sexy underwear, maybe, just maybe, they simply needed a lunch bag and it was the only thing available.

But it kind of reminds me of when my friend told me that her little sister's high school friends would get the birth control patch (even if they weren't having sex) and put it in really obvious places.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go eat my khakis for lunch.

khaki eater!
you know, i don't buy that theory that it was the only bag avaliable because there is always those plastic grocery bags...and if the GAP or V'sS bag was kept, then it was kept to be put to use....which I mean is good that people are reusing...i didn't think there was a postive point to V'sS bags, but there is...yay

I don't have that many plastic grocery bags around. I usually ask for paper or carry my stuff home in my messenger bag. And those Gap bags are so nifty with the drawstring and everything...

Or they could be saying, "I buy really hideous clothing and tacky jewlery."

yeah, but they wouldn't need a bag for that

I'm going to say that it's one of those things women do that they insist is for guys but it's really for other women. Like highlights and blush. I think guys (or at least myself) assume that all women have something or many things from Victoria's Secret so it's not all that exciting. I would be more intrigued if a woman had her lunch in a bag that said "I don't wear underwear."

i think it's a small way that these women put themselves out there. they might think they're being sassy, showing off a bag that could clue a possible bachelor into assuming that they have hundreds of dollars worth of panties avaliable for their viewing pleasure. but, it's also VS's semi-annual sale right now, so the panties only cost 5 bucks. so given the time of year that they're sporting these shopping bags, they might be showing off a bag that could clue a possible bachelor into assuming that they're frugal.
