So today was the first day of school. The oh so dreaded, over-contemplated day that arrives with each ending summer. It was terrible. I found myself surrounded by foreigners: people I do not know, people whose minds are so explicitly different than mine, people I could never in this life relate to. I cried in both 1st and 2nd period. It was hard

i love you! i'm sorry that i loved high school because i think that makes you feel that you need to, too. i know you know this but i love you no matter what and respect whatever decision you need to make, as long as it still involves you learning SOMETHING (and how to be a hooker is so NOT what i am talking about). you are very special and unique and i don't mean "just like everyone else" because first of all, what a bitchy thing to say and secondly: you are special AND unique. so i hope you figure stuff out--not because i don't want you to sully the "fabulous" kristjansson name, but because i want you to be happy and like yourself and your life.
