I'm a bit behind in responding to this, but oh well...

No, can't say that I believe much in fate. I'm much more a "you make your own fate" kinda guy. I mean, if we are scripted from the outset, what's the point? Seems like a way of "giving up" on something you've decided you shouldn't have to care about--whether that's a person, life in general, or a particular situation.
