So I just read on the Mary Sue that Kili is going to have a romance with some white elf chick. I guess Tolkien dwarves are meant to be lower-class but proudly artisan-y men, as evidenced by their burly masculinity, colorful hairstyles, artistic innovation, physical dexterity, and bad table manners. OMG I forgot to mention my favorite moment in the Hobbit movie--when Galadriel's tenderly brushing back a lock of Gandalf's hair and telling him not to be afraid, it looks for a moment like she's going to stick her finger in his nose. That would do it, I think. -

Jeff (OT school) interview is DONE, woo! I had a few moments of anxiety blanking, but it felt like we communicated pretty well in general, and I think I said at least 90% of what I wanted to say.

So I'm in the bathroom combing my hair, and I hear the measured, mellow tones of some NPR lady. "Funny," I think, "no one in our household plays NPR at a volume which is audible from another room." Then I leave the bathroom and discover H in her office, hitting up nursing homes for nefarious survey purposes. -
