This is d_f. I've changed my LJ so I'm going to recomment here.
"Whatever one acquires, one may lose"
This is true when it comes to Earthly things. In fact, you lose everything you've ever aquired when you die when it comes to Earthly things. But the spiritual is eternal, and the spiritual gifts you obtain is also eternal.
So this is your home... ^.^traalorApril 7 2005, 03:43:21 UTC
Meep, this'll be fun! First quote: Agreed. Everything that can be gained can be taken away in this life. Only your soul cannot be taken away, and you had that already. Second quote deserves another quote: "I have found you can find happiness in slavery" Trent Reznor ^.^ It doesn't matter whether it is slavery or not, if you are happy. If you aren't, you ought to be doing something else.
This is the Bishy. Even though me and your layout are at odds, I'd like to be added. Don't worry, I'll post silly comments that probably won't help at all, but will hopefully at least be amusing XD
As for the quote, I somewhat agree but somewhat disagree (on the grounds of symantics): what one may acquire, one will always lose. There is no may. It's impossible to keep anything forever, even your own life.
My comment is: I have acquired much that I cannot imagine losing, for in acquiring it I have gained much more than mere things, but lessons in life, which will remain with me.
PS this is the you-know journal, add me if you want to see it.
