Isn't Colin a Muggleborn? Or do you suspect that he, like Dean, has a magical parent he wasn't aware of?

We shall see. ;)

Pizza, okay, lately I've been enjoying barbeque chicken pizza with yellow and red peppers, if you like any of those things it's worth a taste.

I could be mistaken, but doesn't the term "half-blood" refer to anyone who isn't totally pure blood, i.e. it doesn't require a mixed marriage? I thought Hermione had been referred to as a half-blood, but maybe it's only that she's been called a mudblood.

If you're right, then my theory is toast. :-) I'm just trying to think of a reason that not only has Colin become one of those recurring background characters that may have importance, but so has his brother.

By the way, I lurve your icon. Pretty, pretty!

JK tends to organise magical folk by who their parents or grandparents were, what I gather from her thinking and her site is ( ... )

Well, darn. There you go ruining my theory. *g*

The only for sure half-blood that I think qualifies is Seamus - didn't he mention in the first book that his mother was a witch, but his father was not, and that it was a "surprise" for his dad when he got the invitation to Hogwarts because his mum had never mentioned being a witch to her husband?

If so - I'm going with a new theory. Seamus is the half-blood prince. :-)

I try to be sympathetic towards the fact that telemarketers are just trying to earn a living, but I just can't do it.

Can you not stop these type of calls? I know over here it's illegal for telemarketers to call you if you've signed up to something called the Telephone Preference Service.

No, we don't have a "do not call" list here in Canada - at least, none that I'm aware of. It is highly annoying.
