wow. it sounds like things are sucking a lot for you. and i don't mean that in a patronizing way or anything, but it's hard to know what to say in situations like that.
and the children's angel thing... wow, yeah, that has to suck. i mean, i'm a behemoth, which mostly means i get a lot of bonus aggression and turn into a big scary monster, but i deal with that by having lots of sex and playing scrum. which is totally useless for a children's angel, but anywayyou were adopted, too? it sounds like it, considering your parents can't see you. mine kicked me out when they found out what i could do. which was really pretty cool of them, since they didn't get out the torches and pitchforks or anything, but... man. i was sixteen and suddenly i had wings and i turned into this monster thing

I don't know you, but I felt that I couldn't just ignore this.
I've always thought that the most unfair part of this angel and demon business is that we all change when we're sixteen. When we're still children who don't know up from down, and when we're in the midst of dealing with being a teenager. It was a long time ago for me, but I do remember what it was like, and how hard it was.
As for Children's Angels--well, as for all angels and demons, more so these days--I think it's what you make of it. It might be a "calling" but if the whole thing were set in stone then you wouldn't have asshole angels running around or perfectly nice demons.
I won't tell you "life isn't fair" because I'm sure you already know, and it's frustrating as hell to have someone tell you that. It's not fair, but sometimes we can make it fair. And not always with a lot of effort, either. Like with little things, I suppose, like making sure you always have a bar of chocolate on hand or something. Or even hiding it!
