I have spent the afternoon at work today unloading and organizing donated bags of Christmas presents for clients' children.  I, then, spent 15 minutes successfully convincing my co-workers that singer Marc Anthony looks like Gollum.

So there's this site called The Emo Band Name Generator.  It's fun.  You put in your name and they give you an emo band name.

I put in my real first name, my full name and my nickname and got three results:

Okay, so can anyone explain to me why gay marriage is a political issue?

It seems that every argument against gay marriage is based on religious beliefs.  But considering that one of the founding priciples of this country is the separation of church and state, how can anyone make the claim that gay marriage should be banned?  What's the opposition's ( Read more... )

Well, America, I hate to rain on our parade, but I feel the need to add a little sobriety to the jubilation.  In the wake of the Obama/hope/yes-we-can/Jesse-Jackson-crying-tears-of-joy positivity, we need to remember one side-effect of this historically monumental election: we have chosen the least funny president since Jimmy Carter.

This morning was an early one.  I had my med infusion this morning, so that's good.  But my appointment was, as always, at 8am.  So I had to be at UPenn by 8am.

However, today at work someone brought in candy corn pumpkins.  So I'm wired on sugar right now.
