1. YES THEIR FIGHT WAS AWESOME. They both totally have legitimate grounds to stand on and I think Paul Wesley in particular did a terrific job with that scene. The "I have lived 162 years and you've barely begun" line COULD HAVE come across sounding patronizing and paternalistic but the way he delivered it made me feel those 162 years and it almost seemed more like... a statement of fact and reality rather than him trying a win a "who has more of a right to martyr oneself for the other" argument.

2. Yeah, that was creepy no question. On THE OTHER HAND, we've seen Bonnie do a number of questionable things when it comes to protecting the people she cares about and so it didn't feel OOC to me at all. I also think it was justified insofar as Luka DID have essential information about Elena's life. But I'm very much hoping that at some point Bonnie's ruthlessness catches up to her.

Firstly omg ICON LOVE. How amazing is that.

It was so, so good! I completely agree with your assessment - it could have sounded patronising so very easily, but it didn't. Paul Wesley made it a perfectly reasonable argument for his case, and he absolutely made that scene work. I also liked that it didn't feel like an "omg we have to break up ~*right now*~" fight. I am still enamoured by how much people just talk to each other on this show ( ... )
