hmmm... the way it's written it seems to imply that it's a problem that you fight restriction or limitation. rather than it being a problem that you experience feeling restricted or limited. perhaps that's not the intention and i'm being perverse!
You know its really an interesting thought. I have this desperate urge to leave Hawaii where I feel so restricted from living life to the fullest and doing life to the fullest. I feel so trapped. You know how it is here Barb. Yes there are beaches etc, but that's about it in our rural neck of the woods. Now Stewart, the horticulturalist extraordinaire - loves his land, loves his plants, loves building his freakin rock walls...is very involved in saving an almost extinct tree (30 of them left in the world, and they're all here in Waikoloa:) So he stays busy that way and LOVES it here. Goes to all the preservation meetings etc and simply thrives on it. Me, I feel like I'm missing out. Culturally, its a zero...forgive me for whining, but if you can't whine to family, who can you whine to? lol I would love to live in a larger town/city, be able to get to 'town' easily, see stuff, do stuff. Ok, I'm having major pity party issues. It just seemed that that color test spelled it all out pretty clearly. Lis
ah... yes, i completely get the dilemma. and don't feel bad for whining... it's a hard issue and one that lots of people i know struggle with with these transient cross country lives.
far be it for me to suggest anything as look how well my attempts to balance my needs with my partner's turned out :) but maybe you could take an apartment somewhere else where you want to live, and spend part of the year together and part of the year doing your own thing. some people manage that sort of thing really well... and admittedly some don't! heh heh.
at the very first, you should come over here for a visit and kick your heels up a bit...
