So, yeah. Wow. I looked at my recent journal entry and it was about dear Alan, - my neighbour down the street, husband of one of my best friends, who collapsed and almost died of a brain aneurism. This has been a terrible 'past' week. Its Sunday night (American time) as I type this. Last Monday night at about a quarter to six pm, a dear friend who lives literally a block away, collapsed in his garage after trying to intercede an altercation his 16yo stepson (who's mom is one of my best friends) was having with his 15 year old girlfriend. So...a couple of years ago I took care of a lovely guy who went by 'Uncle Steve'...He was a dear fellow with some dementia, a quirky old bachelor, who had a whole cadre of caregivers - primarily his niece, her husband, and a young woman,Christine, who lived on the property with her family.
