Congratulations Dr. Yang! And all those people who think that liberal arts aren't a good preparation for the medical world...they can go take a long walk off a short pier because you are showing them up. Good for you!
I just hope medical schools will see things the same way. I guess we'll see soon enough just what they do think.
I am glad for the liberal arts, even if it's galling at times to think of myself as being several years behind the rest of the world. I might not have the medicine-specific basis that a lot of medical students have, but that's what med school is for, after all.
That's awesome! But also scary. I would never want to staple someone's head together if I didn't have to. And that's why you'll be a doctor one day and I will not.
Stapling isn't as scary as suturing would be, I think, because you can't see the metal piercing through the skin. Maybe. Or we can always fall back on the default, which is that I am crazy. :)
Thank you. I just got a really gruesome image of metal staples going through someone's jiggly brains. And...now I'm going to dream about them. :-P Well, maybe. ;) I've got something better to occupy my thoughts with, afterall.
