Christmas 2013

I never got a chance yesterday to say Merry Christmas on LJ. But I don't consider Christmas over on December 26. It goes all the way until New Years for me, so I don't mind saying it now.

I've just spent a pleasant few days with my family out in Rochester. It was a white Christmas, and much easier than some we've had. And today, beowabbit is driving from ( Read more... )

Merry Christmas! derspatchel and I are also celebrating an extended holiday, due to about 10% of yesterday actually behaving like Cristmas.

I, too, celebrate the season, but with special emphasis on the Day - because of my religion. As I may have told you in the past I put up Christmas decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving and leave them up until Epiphany. I know you are looking forward to your reunion with Jay, so have a happy day and a good trip home again!

My friend Tatjana often spends xmas (Dec. 25) with her boyfriend in Italy and then goes home to Belgrade in time for the Orthodox xmas (Jan. 6).

Yay two Christmasses! We had an Orthodox Christmas celebration one year, too, since we’re always apart on the 25th. (If I’m remembering correctly, Orthodox Christmas was on the 7th that year.)
