"my life here is not full of people so I think about them most days, many times per day. my heart is with them." I feel that way, even though my friends are close by. I'm learning to go back to when I valued the solitude and find peace in it again.

I've been a workaholic before, I don't miss it, but it was very lucrative and I could put off some serious issues. I lost myself in it though, work was my only identity and I didn't feel comfortable there.

I hope your relationships get better. You seem to have a good heart and mind, so I hope it works out.

Touring sounds like a good break from all of it.
