Well, it's not an offer of employment yet, just an offer to apply. But I was asked by them to apply, so that's a good sign.

Well that certainly offsets the cost-of-living change of living up there. Congrats and hope it goes well.

It's a beautiful and expensive area. $330,000 is the average home cost. We wouldn't live in the city itself, but probably like Siler City or somewhere else on the outskirts. Home prices there are about the same as here.

which is better to take?

ENG 115 Oral Communications

or

COM 231 Public Speaking (I think that's the right class prefix)

What's the difference between the two anyhow?

COM231 is what I teach, and it will transfer whereever you go as a public speaking course. A lot of people take ENG115 and find out later that it will not transfer. :)
