How can things be looking up and down at the same time..?

Please, someone answer this for me... i'm a little lost.

But right now, i'm in a state of happyness.
i believe i've hit the "happy-medium" of my life... 
And i guess, even though i dont like it, i'm going to have to get used to it being this way.

i'm glad i've come to realize this.

Mary Flottman, you can complain to me anytime. I'm always here for you. I'm glad you've found a happy-medium, although I wish you didn't have any "downs" in your life, only ups...but if we didn't have any suffering in life than Jesus could never teach us a lesson through our pain and heartache.
