If the Kingdom of Heaven is such a great place, why does the pope seem so reluctant to die? Perhaps he's been a Bad Pope who won't be ending up there after all.

I'm sure he wouldn't mind dying.

But I'm equally sure that They won't let him.

Kind of throws that commandment about not worshipping false idols into some form of hypocrisy-style light, doesn't it?

It's cause he knows Heaven is full of all the boring people who spent their whole lives being good and not having any fun.

Maybe he thinks all this "Heaven" malarkey is a load of old nonsense and realises that when he karks it that'll be the end of him...

Maybe the Pope is just like Father Dougal in this respect...
