Has anyone seen the sun lately? I haven't been able to find it. Just intermittet snow/wind/rain and constant grey. I am ready for spring, or at least a hint of it.

Scott and I went to the mall yesterday. We do this about once a year, usually when he needs sneakers, as he did yesterday. As we were walking through the make-up counters at Dillards, I took notice of some of the ridiculous names for perfumes on the counter---Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan, Beautiful by Estee Lauder, etc. Come on, get creative, I ( Read more... )

Took the boys to the vet...Covs lost 2.2 lbs!!! I am proud. He's been licking all the fur off his stomach. The vet thinks it is an indication of his obsessive personality---obsesses about food, loses weight, so obsesses with licking stomach ( Read more... )

I spent another week at sea (at lake, I suppose). The Houseboat time flew by in a hazy, relaxed, drunken, psychedelic blur. Spent much time floating in the water with a cocktail, fighting the current from taking me too far away. Spent more time around campfires, wrapped in a blanket. I had dreams of Squirrel Hill last night--Shady Ave, to be exact. And the connecting streets down to Murray. I haven't thought of Shady Ave in a long time. While dreaming, I felt that I was not allowed to wake up until I finished the dream. Finally, the need to urinate won out.

I lost 30 dollars playing Texas Holdem. Next week I will win big, I promise. I taught my first public yoga class at the studio on monday. The air conditioning wasn't working. There was sweat. I am hungry for cheese fries from Cumberland Brews. I hope that it rains so I don't have to water the garden. That's all.

Finished Twin Peaks with Scott Carney last night. It was his first time the whole way through. He was pretty terrified. We got drunk on mojitos with mint from our garden, and I dreamed of Agent Cooper all night ( Read more... )
