I got a new job on Friday. I was promoted to the position of Director of Education at the museum. I am really excited, scared, overwhelmed and all of those things that go with your first "real" job. I'm salaried, I have health benefits, paid vacation...everything like that. I was so excited. I thought this was it....this is when my real life will ( Read more... )

Money does stuck. This weekend I'm probably going to do what you did to see where I stand in terms of paying of my debt and stop mooching of my parents as much. It's hard. Jaci and I talk about money from time to time, I don't make nearly as much as her, but we both have to problem of people thinking that just cause we make more money then them, that we have a lot of disposible income. I really need to sit down and figure out just how much I owe in college loans, I think it's going to be somewhere around $20000, which is just crazy to me. It's always nice that someone else is crunching numbers too.

Congratulations on the new job promotion! Must feel nice to have a real job. I only make $20k/year being a masters student :-\

Whats even sadder now in my life is I am not really making that much more than you. Granted it's an actual real job...but still sad that I make no money. :-/
