Today, one out of 15 marriages in the United States is an interracial marriage. I'm married to a wonderful woman, the love of my life. But if this were still 1966, I couldn't legally be married her in some parts of the United States ( Read more... )

I will never understand why people feel they have the right to tell other people how to live their lives. No one is asking for your approval, simply your acceptance to let others be themselves. I hope those couples go on to live happily married lives for a long time.

I keep hearing that the Supreme Court is likely to uphold Prop 8 BUT also say that those marriages already in place are legal.

My only question there is HOW THE HELL is that supposed to be the case? From what I understand, Prop 8 and the 18000 marriage are mutually exclusive.

I think two people who love eachother should have the option of getting married (and though I would not prefer it for myself, I don't see how this wouldn't apply to multiple people loving eachother, but both ways, so both man and woman could have more than one partner)
I still find it hard to accept that there are people out there that want to prevent two lovers from getting married, whether this is because of race or sexual preference... I mean, it blows my mind in the same way someone believing 1+1=5

I invite all those couples over to the Netherlands, come and get married here ;)

I just don't understand how they can allow it and then turn around and take it away. That video made me tear up.
