"Half a pack of turkey mince (which we will call 'beef' below)"...

What confused me was that Turkey mince was lightly fried, but Beef was placed in the pan with the pesto and Dolmio. What happens to the turkey, and when is the beef cooked?

Pffft. Nonsense. I bet you can't come up with a really nummy recipe that beats a jar of Dolmio.

You used a JAR of SAUCE?!! :O

You have offended my Itie blood! If you want a decent bolognaise sauce recipe, all you had to do was ask... I will even let you in on the Secret Ingredient (which sounds disgusting but works well as long as you don't put too much of it in)... :)

Sauce inna jar is for the-shops-are-shut-and-I-have-no-other-food style emergencies only.

This is me defriending you for using Dolmio (not just lazy sauce, but awful tasting, sugar laden lazy sauce) and for posting boring recipes. Dude, learn to use a blender to make the sauce - for which I have already given you the recipe(s). Srsly. Shame on you!

People! People!

Let us not be so harsh. Yes, he committed the sin of using sauce from a jar. But he is newly-emancipated and only learning to cook. Let us forgive him this terrible faux pas and rejoice that he used substances such as lemon juice and basil.

Oh yes, on the upside, there are herbs and the like. Definite plus. That said, poggs knows from experience my rantings and ramblings are said with the best of intentions, be it food, coffee or Other Things.

Just popping round and am amused that people are giving you a hard time for using jarred sauce!

I try to make everything from scratch for money's sake and sometimes slumming it is the way to go, like a jar or tinned something is often a "special treat"! Haha.
